September 2024 - September 2025
From Fall 2024 through Fall 2025 we are utilizing our participatory playmaking process to build relationships across siloed communities in Chicago, IL! We are partnering with local artists, activists, civic, religious leaders, and community members from all over the city to build a collaborative process that ensures that our work is by, for and with the neighbors we're in conversation with.
The Civic Series explores the foundational texts that shape American life—whether we embrace them or challenge them. In Chicago we are activating the First Amendment (Freedoms of Religion, Assembly, Speech, etc.) to spark conversations among Chicagoans about how those promised freedoms have shaped their lives and their city as a whole.

This Spring we’re creating spaces to process all that we’ve heard from you—with you.
Together, we’ll begin shaping the performance that will premiere in September,
built from the material that was shared and with the people who shared it.
Weekly Virtual Processing Sessions
Wednesdays from 1-2pm | Calendar Invite + Zoom Link
Informal virtual conversation to revisit, review, + reflect on the the gems that have arisen from our conversations with Chicagoans.
Additional events will take place in person + virtually in June, July & August
with the final performances will take place in early September 2025
