HOBOKEN
Fall 2024 - Summer 2025

We are leading a bridge-building theater project focusing on strengthening relationships between siloed communities in Hoboken. A group of local artists working with ITP’s national team, will be sparking conversations with Hobokenites to better understand and honor the multiplicity of perspectives that exist among neighbors and their complex relationships with water (the Hudson, riverfront, flooding, etc.). We are partnering with local educators, activists, artists, civic & religious leaders, and community members from all over Hoboken to ensure that everyone is invited into the playmaking process.

A Waterfront Tour & Conversation with Fund for a Better Waterfront

Saturday, April 19, 2025 | 10:00 - 11:30 AM

Starting from the fountain in Pier A Park

Hoboken’s waterfront holds deep meaning for residents—a scenic backdrop, a gathering place, a connection to nature, and a space shaped by community action. How has the waterfront changed over time? Who is it for? How can we ensure it remains accessible to everyone?

Join Fund for a Better Waterfront for a guided tour and creative conversation about the past, present, and future of Hoboken’s shoreline. We’ll explore the ongoing efforts to protect and expand public access, reflect on the role of water in shaping the city, and discuss how the waterfront connects our community.
