Project Summary:
In Los Angeles, we completed the sixth project in our Exodus in America series, bridging Black, Jewish, and Black-Jewish communities by connecting each community's inherited exodus narratives into a single original ritual: "Guess Who's Coming to the Juneteenth Seder," a community-devised performance and eating experience marrying the traditional structure of a Passover Seder with the story and symbolism of Juneteenth.
