CYCLES
In[HEIR]itance: CYCLES is an ongoing community art project that began in response to the uncertainty around COVID-19, racial justice protests, and election cycles.
As artists, we use creativity to process, reflect and respond to the moments we’re in. Through a guided series of questions and artistic prompts for reflection, we are inviting anyone who is interested to make their own creative response to this moment, and to put their work into conversation with the rest of the community participating. We are using “CYCLES” as the shared inspiration for our explorations, since this time is both strange and familiar, and many people seem to be caught in their own version of Pandemic Groundhog Day.
This project aims to better understand how our individual experiences are in relationship to each other, and to uncover the collective story that they tell. To do this, we need lots of stories and ideas, so we are inviting people of all ages, backgrounds, and geographic locations to share their experiences with us, and with each other.
We can’t wait to see what you create!
